What Your First Visit Includes
Most new patients start with a comprehensive exam: a full check of your teeth, gums, and bite, low-radiation digital X-rays, an oral cancer screening, and usually a professional cleaning. Dr. Bhumika Kathiriya, DDS will walk you through everything she sees — on screen, in plain language — and answer every question before recommending anything.
Coming in with a specific problem, like a toothache or a broken tooth? We'll focus on getting you comfortable first, with same-day appointments available for urgent needs.

Request an appointment online or call (916) 929-3737. Tell us what's bringing you in so we can reserve the right amount of time. Then download your new patient forms and complete them at home.

After your exam and cleaning, you'll leave with a clear picture of your oral health and a written plan — including costs — for anything that needs attention.
What To Bring
- Your completed new patient forms (or arrive 15 minutes early to fill them out here)
- A photo ID
- Your dental insurance card (if insured)
- A list of current medications
- Your previous dentist's info, if you'd like records transferred
- Any recent X-rays, if you have them
- Your questions — no concern is too small

Many of our favorite patients arrived anxious after years away from the dentist. You'll never be lectured here — just welcomed. Tell us how you're feeling when you book, and ask about our sedation options that make even longer visits feel easy. We speak English, Hindi, and Spanish, so you can be cared for in the language you're most comfortable in.
New Patient Questions
How long is the first appointment?
Plan on about an hour for a comprehensive exam, X-rays, and cleaning. If you're coming in for a specific problem, urgent visits are often shorter — and we reserve time daily for same-day appointments.
Do you take my insurance?
We're in-network with all Delta Dental plans and gladly accept virtually every PPO plan — see our insurance page for details. Send us your plan details and we'll verify your benefits before your visit.
It's been years since I saw a dentist. Will that be a problem?
Not at all — and you won't get a guilt trip. We'll simply assess where things stand today and build a plan from there, prioritizing anything urgent first. Sedation options are available if anxiety has been keeping you away.
Do you see kids?
Yes! We're a family practice with a kids' corner in the waiting area, and we care for patients of every age — from first checkups to dentures.
Where do I park?
Right outside. Our standalone building at 1630 Fulton Ave in Arden-Arcade has plenty of free parking — no garages, no street hunting.
